Every device on your network is only as reliable as the cable behind it. Our low voltage cabling projects cover the physical layer of your office: network drops to desks and ceilings, runs between closets and floors, and a network closet you can actually work in. It's the same team that installs and supports your network, so the cabling is planned around the equipment it serves.
What the project includes
- Network drops. Cat6 runs to workstations, printers, phones, wireless access points and cameras, terminated at both ends.
- Backbone and fiber. Fiber or copper runs between closets, floors or buildings when distance or speed calls for it.
- Network closet buildout. Racks, patch panels and cable management, so the closet stops being a tangle nobody wants to touch. Bigger rooms are covered by our server room buildout project.
- Cleanup of existing cabling. Tracing, re-terminating and removing dead runs in offices that have grown by adding one cable at a time.
- Labeling. Every jack and patch panel port labeled to match the documentation.
- Testing. Each run tested after it's installed, so problems are found before your staff moves in.
Who it's for
Offices being built out or remodeled, businesses moving into a new space, and anyone adding desks, access points or security cameras. It's a common need for manufacturers too, where the shop floor, the office and the shipping area all need dependable connections across longer distances.
How the work runs
- Site walk. We look at the space, the ceilings, the closet location and the path cable can take.
- Drop plan. You get a plan showing where each drop goes and what it's for, so nothing gets missed.
- Installation. Cable is pulled, mounted and terminated. In a building under construction we work around the other trades; in an occupied office we plan around your hours to keep disruption low.
- Termination and testing. Every run is terminated and tested.
- Labeling and documentation. Jacks, panels and drawings are labeled to match.
Timelines depend on the number of drops and whether the space is occupied or under construction. From you, we need access to the space and a floor plan if you have one.
What you get at the end
- Tested cabling to every location on the plan.
- A labeled patch panel and jacks that match the drawings.
- A drop map you can hand to anyone who works on the space later.
- A tidy, organized network closet.
Ongoing support
Cabling is usually the start of a bigger job. Most cabling projects lead straight into network installation and Wi-Fi design and installation, and once everything is in place our network management service keeps the network monitored and supported.
We run cabling for businesses in Lexington and across Central Kentucky.
Common questions
Cat6 is our standard for network drops. Fiber is used for longer runs between closets, floors or buildings, or where a connection needs more capacity.
Yes. We trace what's there, remove dead runs, re-terminate where needed and label everything so the closet matches the documentation.

Every run is tested after it's installed and before we hand the space back to you.
