Network Installation Services in Lexington, KY

New office network design and installation: firewall, switches, Wi-Fi and cabling planned together and handed over documented.

Opening a new office, adding a floor or moving into a building that has never had a proper network? This project builds the whole thing from scratch: the firewall at the edge, the switches in the closet, the Wi-Fi overhead and the cabling that ties it together. If you're replacing gear in a network you already have, that's a network infrastructure upgrade instead.

What the project includes

  • Design first. We map where people sit, where printers, phones and cameras go, and what has to stay separate, such as guest Wi-Fi or equipment that shouldn't share a network with your business data.
  • Firewall. A business-grade firewall configured for your office, with remote access set up the secure way for anyone working from home.
  • Switching. Switches sized for the number of devices you have today plus room to grow, with power over Ethernet where phones, access points or cameras need it.
  • Wi-Fi. Access points placed for coverage and capacity, not just a router in the corner. Larger or trickier spaces get the full Wi-Fi design and installation treatment.
  • Cabling. Drops to desks, ceilings and the network closet, handled as part of the same project. See low voltage cabling for what that work covers.
  • Network segments. Separate networks for staff, guests, phones and other equipment, so a problem on one doesn't reach the others.

Who it's for

Businesses moving into a new space, building out an addition, or opening a second location. It's also a fit for offices that grew one consumer router and one unmanaged switch at a time and now need a real network underneath them. If the timing lines up with a move, pair it with office relocation IT so the network is ready before the furniture arrives.

How the work runs

  1. Walkthrough. We visit the space, ideally before walls close up, and talk through how your team works and what's coming in the next few years.
  2. Design and quote. You get a written design: what goes where, which equipment, and how the networks are separated.
  3. Ordering and staging. Equipment is configured and tested before it reaches your office, so install day is about mounting and connecting, not troubleshooting.
  4. Installation. Cabling, closet build, firewall, switches and access points go in. We coordinate around contractors if the space is still under construction.
  5. Testing. Every drop and every access point is checked before we call it done.
  6. Handover. We walk you through what was installed and leave the documentation behind.

How long it takes depends on the size of the space and whether construction is still underway. From you, we need access to the space, a point of contact for decisions, and the internet circuit ordered early, because carrier install dates are often the slowest part of a new office.

What you get at the end

  • A working network with separated staff, guest and device traffic.
  • A network diagram and an equipment list with locations.
  • Admin credentials stored where you control them, not just in one person's head.
  • Labeled cabling that matches the documentation.

Keeping it running

A new network stays fast and secure when someone is watching it. Our network management service covers monitoring, firmware updates and changes after the install, so the network you paid to build doesn't drift. Most clients move straight into it once the project wraps up.

We install networks for businesses in Lexington and across Central Kentucky, and we're close enough to come back on-site when something needs hands on hardware.
