Server Room Buildout in Lexington, KY

Server rooms and network closets built right: racks, cable management, power protection, cooling and labeling, documented.

The room that holds your servers and network gear is often an afterthought: a closet with a fan, a power strip and cables nobody can trace. That's where outages start. A server room buildout turns that space into a clean, protected, documented room that's easy to support and hard to break by accident.

What the project includes

  • Racks and mounting. Equipment racks or wall-mount cabinets sized for what you have now and what's coming.
  • Cable management. Patch panels, cable managers and short patch cables, so every connection can be traced in seconds.
  • Power protection. Battery backup units sized to your equipment, so a power blip doesn't take down servers and the network, and so equipment can shut down cleanly in a longer outage.
  • Cooling and airflow. Equipment arranged for airflow, with cooling needs reviewed so the room doesn't overheat in July.
  • Physical security. A lockable room or cabinet, and door access control where it makes sense, because anyone who can reach the equipment can unplug it.
  • Labeling and documentation. Every device, port and cable labeled to match a diagram of the room.

Who it's for

Businesses that keep servers, phone equipment or a lot of network gear on-site, offices whose closet grew one device at a time, and anyone moving into a new space who wants the room built right from the start. It pairs naturally with network installation and network infrastructure upgrades.

How the work runs

  1. Assessment. We look at the room, the equipment in it, power and cooling, and how it connects to the rest of the building.
  2. Design. You get a layout for racks, power and cabling, plus anything the room itself needs.
  3. Scheduling. Work that would interrupt the network is scheduled after hours.
  4. Build. Racks, power protection and cable management go in, and equipment is moved and re-cabled.
  5. Testing. Every connection and the power protection are checked.
  6. Documentation. Labels and diagrams are finished and handed over.

Timing depends on how much equipment is in the room and whether it has to stay running during the work. From you, we need access to the room and a window when brief interruptions are acceptable.

What you get at the end

  • An organized room with every device and cable labeled.
  • Power protection sized to your equipment.
  • A diagram of the room and an equipment list.
  • A space any technician can work in without guessing.

Ongoing support

A clean room makes everything after it faster: troubleshooting, upgrades and recovery. Our network management service keeps the equipment in it monitored, and our backup and disaster recovery work makes sure what's in the room can be restored if it ever fails.
